Andrew Bayly offers a rare combination of deep government experience and proven commercial acumen. As a Member of Parliament for over twelve years and a former Government Minister, Andrew has an intimate understanding of how government works and how to navigate its complexities.

Before entering Parliament, Andrew built and led successful businesses across multiple sectors, co-founding Cranleigh Merchant Bank and directing numerous companies spanning a number of sectors, including financial services, manufacturing, and agriculture. This dual expertise in both public policy and private enterprise enables him to provide uniquely informed strategic counsel.

Andrew is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and a former officer in both the New Zealand Army and British Parachute Regiment. His expeditions to both Poles, the mountains of Antarctica, and the deserts of Jordan reflect his commitment to tackling significant challenges with determination and strategic thinking.
